This is the case of a 45-year-old woman with a BMI of 57 that had had a previous laparoscopic gastric banding that failed and underwent a laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy. The patient lost 15 points of BMI at one year follow-up. She started to regain weight and underwent the second step.
